Today, Year 5 have had an exciting start to the week by meeting the Bikeability team from Sunderland Council. For the first hour, we discussed the importance of safety when riding a bike and how to check these independently. Once we knew we were safe, we began to ride our bike around the school yard – we even learned which signals to use! We found out that this was super important so that others know the direction you are headed in. 

The instructors, and Miss Newton, were all very proud of Year 5 today and can’t wait to see how the children progress on the roads tomorrow!
