Monday 16th March – Dogs Trust Workshops

Today, the whole school were able to discuss how to remain safe during an assembly lead by Katie from the Dogs Trust. The children were made aware of key dangers when living with and being around dogs as well as techniques to use when greeting dogs or training them to be a member of your home.

Later in the morning, years 3-6 were able to take part in a more focused workshop based around how we should remain safe around the variety of breeds that we may come across in the north of England. The children were really engaged in the activities lead by Katie and they all came away with some key pieces of advice when coming into contact with dogs.
